We present analytic solitary-wave solutions for N coupled nonlinear Schrodinger (CNLS) equations that is applicable to cases in which the nonlinear coupling parameters consist of -1 as well as +1, i.e., are of die mixed type, We conjecture that solitary-wave solutions that consist of all possible combinations of Lame function of order n = N cover a complete subset of possible mixed interaction type. These results may have important applications to problems in nonlinear optics, and may provide insights into the integrability of CNLS equations of the mixed interaction type for general N.
