Four sesquiterpene glycosides with alloaromadendrane, emmotin, and picrotoxane type aglycones were isolated from the stems of Dendrobium nobile Lindl (Orchidaceae). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods and chemical reactions. Immunomodulatory activity of the isolates was evaluated in vitro. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd.
