Pinned particles in space are introduced in our molecular-dynamics simulations. Effects of pinned particles on the structural relaxation in binary soft-sphere supercooled liquids are examined. It is found that the relaxation dynamics becomes slower as the number of the pinned particles increase and this tendency is enhanced as the degree of supercooling becomes high. In addition, we obtained the temperature dependence of the size of the cooperatively rearranging region as power law xi alpha T-u from our simulations.
