Polyaniline was doped with bifunctional water soluble organic acids possessing various combinations of hydrophilic substituents such as hydroxy, carboxy, sulfonic or phosphonic groups. Those dopants significantly influence affinity of the doped polyaniline to water. All investigated systems show very strong tendency to create water suspensions or solutions. The solutions were characterized with UV-VIS spectroscopy and turbidimetry.
