Oriented layers of conjugated-polymers, poly(p-phenylene vinylene) and poly(3-dodecylthiophene), were fabricated on titania films by friction transfer method. The polymer chains were aligned along the friction direction in the substrate plane. The photoelectric proper-ties of the polymer/titania were measured under the polarized light. Photocurrent was enhanced under the polarized light with the electric vector parallel to the chain direction than orthogonal-polarized light. This device can be used as a polarized light detector.
