Conductivity and thermal properties on (PEO)(16)LiClO4 mixed with nanosized ZnO (n-ZnO) particles have been studied. The addition of n-ZnO particles alters the value of T-g, T-m and crystallinity of the (PEO)(16)LiClO4. By addition of a certain amount of nZnO particles, the ionic conductivity at room temperature of the (PEO)(16)LiClO4 is enhanced by 40 times, which is attributed to the low crystallinity in the electrolytes resulting from the dispersed n-ZnO particles.
