The structure of the n = 4 Aurivillius oxide BaBi4Ti4O15 has been studied at room temperature using powder neutron diffraction, and from 300 to 1000 K using synchrotron X-ray diffraction methods. The structure is orthorhombic (space group A2(1)am) at 300 K and transforins to a tetragonal (I4/mmm) structure near 700 K. Crown Copyright (C) 2003 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
