We present preliminary results of the analysis of the first 500 square degrees of the Southern Edgeworth-Kuiper belt Survey, a large sky survey which ran from January 2000 to January 2003 and comprises 2900degrees. in total. Early tests predict that we should discover similar to 10 bright TNOs in our data, doubling the current known population.
