Heat transfer over an unsteady stretching surface with internal heat generation or absorption is studied. The governing time-dependent boundary lay er equations are solved numerically. The velocity profiles, temperature profiles, the skin friction components on the unsteady stretching surface and rate of heat transfer are computed and discussed in detail for various values of the unsteadiness parameter, Prandtl number and heat. source/sink parameter.
