The impedance of nearly zero magnetostriction amorphous wires (Co68.1Fe4.4Si12.5B15, lambda(s) = -4 x 10(-8)) has been measured as a function of an applied dc longitudinal field, circular driving field frequency and tensile stress. Giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) ratios up to 330% were observed in the lower magnetostriction wire (for frequency f = 1 MHz). (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
