A series of monodentate phosphoramidite ligands derived from H-8-BINOL have been synthesized. The ligands are used in the Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of enamides to give the acetamides in up to 99% ee. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
