Thin films Of CuSc1-xMgxO2+y have been rendered conducting by intercalation of oxygen. Hole conductivities up to of order 10 S/cm can be achieved at the expense of visible transparency, especially in the blue region of the spectrum. Hole conductivities up to 100 S/cm have been achieved in pressed pellets of K-doped BaCuSF, and a band-gap of 3.2 eV has been measured on undoped films. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science (USA).
