Laser action is obtained from two different neat films of electroluminescent oligothiophenes. The emissions are tunable, from the yellow to the red, on wavelength ranges up to 37 nm centered around 600 nm, in single-mode with a TEM00 beam quality. The lasers exhibit low pump thresholds and efficiencies up to 1.7%. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
