cis-bis(dicyanarnido)bis(1,10-phenanthroline)nickel(II)

In the title complex, [Ni(C2N3)(2)(C13H8N2)(2)], which consists of discrete molecules, the Ni-II atom has a slightly distorted octahedral environment, with four N atoms of two phenanthroline ligands and two terminal N atoms of two dicyanamide ligands in a cis arrangement. The pi-pi stacking interactions result in the formation of a one-dimensional chain structure along the [110] direction.
