Large-scale alpha-LiFeO2 nanorods were synthesized via a molten salt synthesis method at low temperature. The structure and morphology of the product were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy. And electrochemical tests were made at a Current density of 0.1 mA cm(2) (voltage window 2.0-4.2 V). (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
