This work studies Ti K-edge excitations in rutile TiO2 by considering the X-ray absorption spectrum in a Bethe-Salpeter approach. Results are compared to those obtained by experiment and previous theoretical results found using the Anderson impurity model. This establishes satisfactory agreement between all results.
