The effects of increasing chromium content on the phase transformations in Fe-Al-Mn-Cr alloys have been investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry. The experimental results revealed that increasing the chromium addition would expand both the A12alpha-Mn and DO3 phase-field regions. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
