In the present work a simplified mathematical model for a condensing gas water heater appliance was built to evaluate the impact of relative humidity (RH) on the appliance. Validation was performed considering experimental results from condensing and non-condensing appliances. The mathematical model was solved using an improved Broyden method. Analytical results are in good agreement with experimental results. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
