1,1'-Bis(trimethylsilylseleno) ferrocene has been used to synthesize the anionic cluster [Ag-4(fcSe(2))(3)](2-) 2. In 2, a non-bonded tetrahedron of Ag atoms is stabilized by three bidentate ferrocenyldiselenolate groups, which bridge the edges of the tetrahedron in mu(2), mu(2) fashion. Multinuclear NMR spectroscopy indicates a static framework. Crystal data for [NBu4](2)[Ag-4(fcSe(2))(3)]: monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 19.8240(6), b = 17.7514(5), c = 21.1494(7) Angstrom, beta = 111.88(3) degrees, V = 6906.5(4) Angstrom(3).
