NiCrAlY coatings with oxygen contents ranging from 3 to 21 at.% introduced during HVOF spraying were prepared. Oxidation tests at 1000 degreesC for up to 1000 h showed that the composition and microstructure of the oxide scale formed on the coatings were significantly affected by the oxygen content in the coatings.
