Anviloy1150, H13, Mo-785, Ti-6A1-4V, Ni-718, cast iron, and copper-base alloys have been evaluated for their resistances to soldering, washout, and thermal fatigue. Anviloy1150 shows the best soldering and washout resistance, followed by Ti-6A1-4V, Mo-785, H13, and Ni-718. Anviloy1150 and Mo-785 also show the best resistance to thermal fatigue and H13 is in the middle while Ti-6A1-4V shows very bad thermal fatigue resistance. Difficulty is found to evaluate the thermal fatigue resistance of Ni-718. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
