State-space approach is employed to investigate the bending and free vibration of simply supported angle-ply piezoelectric laminates in cylindrical bending. The bond between any two adjacent layers is assumed either perfect or imperfect, which is uniformly described by a general spring-layer model. The analysis is completely based on the exact piezoelasticity equations, and hence the presented numerical results can serve as benchmarks for future investigations. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd.
