Excitation functions of Y-86 production via Sr-86(p,xn), Sr-86(d,xn), Rb-85(alpha,xn), Rb-85(He-3,xn), and Zr-nat(d,alpha xn) reactions were studied by means of ALICE-ASH code and the results were compared with ALICE-91 code and experimental data. The greatest nuclear reaction of cyclotron Y-86 production was found out as Sr-86(p,n)Y-86 process. Y-86 production yield was calculated too. A SrCO3 thick film was deposited on a copper substrate by sedimentation method. The deposited (SrCO3)-Sr-nat Was irradiated with 15 MeV proton at 30 mu A current beam. The separation of Y from Cu and Sr was carried out by means of dual ion exchange chromatography. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
