We have designed arylfurylacryl-substituted benzophenones as non-thiol farnesyltransferase inhibitors utilizing a novel aryl binding site of farnesyltransferase. These compounds display activity in the low nanomolar range. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
