The paper presents an FLD theoretical model for evaluating the influence of the plastic anisotropy on the sheet metal formability. With this aim in view, the classical model Marciniak-Kuczynski has been modified by including the BBC2000 yield criterion. The predictions of the FLD model have been compared with experimental data for an aluminium alloy. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
