The infrared reflectance spectrum of KY3F10 single crystals has been recorded at room temperature. By using the four-parameter semi-quantum model, all of the infrared active phonons were identified. A normal coordinate analysis was carried out by combining these results with the previously reported Raman active phonons. The temperature dependence of the Raman bands linewidth was discussed on the basis of the eigenvectors of the vibrational modes. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V All rights reserved.
