The reagent Fe(eta(5)-C5H4SeSiMe3)(2) has been used for the formation of the new nanoclusters [Cu20Se6(Se(2)fc)(4)(PR2R')(10)] (R = Ph, R' = Et; R = R' = nBu) and [Cu40Se12(Se(2)fc)(8)(PPh3)(9)], which consist of ferrocenyl-passluated surfaces on CuSe cores.
