Ultrafast all-optical modulation in a silicon-on-insulator waveguide via simultaneous two-photon absorption of a CW signal from 1545-1570 nm and a 2 ps control pulse at 1530 ran is demonstrated. A modulation depth > 7 dB and a response time < 15 ps, limited by the detection bandwidth, is achieved.
