A procedure for the synthesis of uranyltricarbonatetetrarubidium Rb4UO2(CO3)(3) was developed. Its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis: space g cup C2/c; a = 10.778(5) angstrom, b = 9.381(2) angstrom, c = 12.509(3) angstrom. beta = 94.42(3)degrees, Z = 4; 1178 independent reflections, R = 0.0662.
