This paper presents the solution for the global optimization problem for overall heating. ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems using a modified genetic algorithm. The whole implementation procedure of the proposed optimal method is provided. Simulation studies for a pilot scale centralized H-VAC plant by the proposed optimal method show that the proposed method indeed improves the system performance significantly compared with traditional control strategies.
