The tape cast produced thick films as planner humidity sensors have been investigated by impedance spectroscopy. The humidity sensitive electrical conduction of MgCr2O4-TiO2 ceramics prepared by citrate-nitrate gel can be utilized for humidity sensing devices. Essentially two-dimensional thick tape of uniform size sheets are cut into different precision shapes by Laser. The sensor developed from these small identical chips of tape showed same response and good reproducibility. These sensors are interchangeable and fit to same calibration. Some experimental results have shown for design and application of the sensor for using in experimental zone. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
