Disulfiram, a drug used to treat alcoholism, has recently been indicated to play a primary as well as an adjuvant role in the treatment of many cancers and in the reversal of fungal drug-resistance. This review discusses the molecular mechanism of action of disulfiram and its potential use in the treatment of disulfiram and its potential use in the treatment of human cancers and fungal infections.
