A new Ni-Zn heterodinuclear complex:: [μ2-bis(salicylidene)propane-1,3-diaminato]dichlorobis(N,N-dimethylformamide)nickel(II)-zinc(II)

The title compound, [NiZn(C17H16N2O2)Cl-2(C3H7NO)(2)], is a new heterodinuclear Ni-II-Zn-II complex. X-ray crystallographic analysis shows that the nickel(II) ion is in a distorted O4N2 octahedral environment, while the zinc( II) ion is in a distorted O2Cl2 tetrahedral environment.
