A new Zn(II) coordination polymer, [Zn(BTA)(2)](n) (1) (BTAH = benzotriazole) has been hydrothermal synthesized and characterized. The structure of complex I features a distorted two-dimensional (2D) (6,3) network and exhibits strong blue fluorescent emission at 580 nm. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
