Polymorphs of 4′-(hex-5-ynyloxy)-2,2′:6′,2-terpyridine:: structural diversity arising from weak intermolecular interactions in the solid state

Changing the conditions under which 4'-(hex-5-ynyloxy)- 2,2': 6',2 ''- terpyridine crystallises results in solvent-free crystals in which dimeric motifs supported by C CH center dot center dot center dot N-pyridine hydrogen-bonded interactions assemble into two different 3D solid state structures.
