New functional resins with long functional ligands were synthesised by modification of poly(vinylbenzylchloride-acrylonitryle-divinylbenzere) matrix with ethylenediamine, bis(aminopropyl)amine, bis(aminohexyl)triamine or tris(2-aminoethyl)amine. The derivatives were reacted with S-methylthiourea to obtain resins with 2.8- 5.0 mmol of amino group per 1 g of dry resin. Sorption efficiency of resin towards Au(III), Pt(IV), Pd(II) chlorocomplexes was determined in a batch mode multicomplexes solutions of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Fe(III) chlorides in 0.1-3 M HCl The sorption capacity of gold, platinum and palladium from 0.1 M hydrochloric solutions reaches the value of 190, 245 and 280 mg/ g, respectively. Recovery of noble metals reveals average of 95% from mulitcomponent solutions. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
