The synthesis of a chiral N-heterocyclic carbene with an oxazolinyl ferrocenyl substituentis reported. The X-ray crystal structure of a rhodium. complex reveals the chelating properties of the ligand, and catalysis studies demonstrate the capability of the rhodium complexes to catalyze hydrosilylations of ketones.
