Trigonal Se nanotube was successfully synthesized by a facile and green one-step hydrothermal method, using Na2SeO3 as selenium Source and glucose as reducing agent. The samples were characterized by XRD, TEM, HRTEM, SAED, UV-Vis and so on. The investigation found the glucose played the key role in the formation of t-Se nanotube. The possible growth mechanism was also discussed. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
