The title compound, a hetero-dinuclear complex with Ni(II) and Hg(II) ions, forms crystals which belong to the triclinic system, space group P (1) over bar, with unit cell dimensions a=8.9620(12), b=9.2370(11), c=12.0810(13) angstrom, alpha=92.100(3)degrees, beta=105.317(5)degrees, gamma=110.502(3)degrees, V=894.2(2)angstrom(3). The cell contains two molecules. The Ni...Hg distance is 3.4859(7) angstrom. The distance Hg...Hg-a (symmetry code: -x,-y,-z) between the neighbouring molecules is 4.7514(7) angstrom.
