We have obtained a quantitative estimate of phonon scattering rates in natural type IIa, neutron-irradiated, microwave plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition and hot filament chemical vapor deposition diamond samples studied in the 1990s by Morelli and co-workers. This is done by successfully explaining the experimental thermal conductivity results with the employment of Callaway's theory in its full form and Srivastava's scheme for Normal and Umklapp three-phonon relaxation times involving Gruneisen's constant as the only (semi) adjustable parameter.
