Malonamides were chosen for the co-extraction of lanthanide and actinides within the framework of process DIAMEX. Among these compounds, one of the most studied molecules is the DMDBTDMA with a fourteen carbon atom alkyl chain, between the two amides functions. This structure which makes it sparingly soluble in aqueous phase, confers surface-active properties in a liquid-liquid process due to the micellisation of the extractant molecules in certain conditions. The objective of this work is to study the molecular organization of the malonamides in organic phase by the measurement of diffusion taken by NMR. This with non intrusive technique makes it possible to determine the self-diffusion coefficients of species in solution.
