UV irradiation at 350 nm of bisphenyl carbodiazone creates nitrogen, phenyl and (phenyldiazenyl)carbonyl radicals under mild conditions. The radicals formed were trapped by olefins and tetramethylpiperidinoxyl radicals. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
