The product distribution and kinetics of thermal cracking of JP-10 (exo-tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene) were investigated in an annular tubular reactor at atmospheric pressure, in the temperature range of 903-968 K. No inerts were added with the feed. The major products were methane, ethylene, propylene, cyclopentene, cyclopentadiene, benzene and toluene. The pre-exponential factor, activation energy and overall reaction order for thermal cracking of JP-10 were determined by non-linear regression analysis to be 2.4 x 10(13) (m(3)/mol)(0.1) s(-1), 256.2 kJ/mol and 1.1, respectively.
