We study electron transport through double-dot molecules irradiated by microwave within Landauer formalism based on Floquet scattering theory. We investigate the two novel interference phenomena, 'Fano resonance' and 'dynamic localization' for various microwave frequencies and amplitudes. The microwave can control the interference paths relevant to electron transport. The Fano interference is destroyed by the microwave and the high-frequency microwave develops a coherent destructive interference suppressing quantum tunneling between the dots. It is demonstrated that the conductance evolves from Fano line shape to dynamic localization as the microwave power increases. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
