A novel compound, rodgersinol (1), was isolated from the aerial parts of Rodgersia podophylla and its structure was elucidated with various spectroscopic methods. Rodgersinol (1) exhibited the significant inhibitory effects on iNOS and COX-2 expressions in LPS-activated macrophages. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
