A novel slurry bubble column in which a lithium silicate as a CO2 absorbent is suspended in a molten salt at high temperature was proposed. To confirm the feasibility of the proposed system, the effects of the CO2 feed rate into the slurry bubble column, the quantity of absorbent, and the suspension concentration on the performance of the CO2 recovery were investigated. The proposed system could rapidly absorb and strip CO2 by thermal swinging. Moreover, no reduction of the CO2 recovery performance by the repeated use of the absorbent was observed.
