Electronic formulations - Photopatterning of luminescent conjugated polymers

Ask authors/readers for more resources

The versatility of light emmitting conjugated polymers in terms of optoelectronic properties is enormous but tailoring of other essential properties has been relatively limited. In other fields such a problem would a problem would be rectified using material formulations. However, the need to maintain high optoelectronically compatible materials is demonstated. Additive molecules that are compatible with a family of luminescent polymers are presented and their performance in a light-emmited diode configuration is demonstrated. This formulation is aimed to adjust the glass transition temperature, maintain/improve film-forming ability, and that could be used to produce wavelength lasers or full-colour displays. The patterning ability is shown via the construction of a single pixel that is half green and half orange.
