Coherent population trapping in a single hole charged quantum dot could provide a powerful spectroscopic tool for understanding and controlling spin decoherence mechanisms. Measurement of the width of the transparency window as a function of magnetic field, temperature and gate voltage could be used to reveal the contributions of phonons, co-tunneling and hyperfine interactions to hole decoherence.
