Some electrical parameters could be extracted from EIS measurements of a coated metal like: coating capacitance, coating resistance, double layer capacitance, and charge transfer resistance. Although these elements are very valuable in analysis of electrochemical behavior of a coated system their extraction from EIS results is time consuming and always there are some error in calculation of the results with a model. In this paper an attempt is made to introduce a new parameter that could be easily extracted with no error in calculation. Theta at high frequencies has very good agreement with other extracted parameters. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
