Novel hydrophilic polymer membranes based on cross-linked mixtures of poly(allylamine hydrochloride)-poly(vinyl alcohol) are developed. The high selectivity and flux characteristics of these membranes for the dehydration of organic solvents are evaluated using pervaporation technology and are found to be very promising when compared to existing membranes.
